HELLO THERE!
Through my journey in photography and my time at Standley Lake High School as a sophomore and junior, I have encountered many challenges and opportunities for growth in photography. This report outlines all the experiences I had during the project and the many skills that came with that. Through hands-on learning and practice with guidance from other people. I have learned the technical aspects of using a camera by experimenting with different modes and lenses on my camera. To understand the different functions of photography, I had to grow more comfortable with the technical aspects of photography. As I shifted my focus towards exploring creativity and self-expression. It felt like the photos I took spoke out to me, and I wanted that feeling in every one of my photos. So, I experimented with more camera features to enhance that feeling through my photos. Whether it is capturing nature's beauty in landscapes and animals, or showcasing sports events and games that express the emotions of the players, it reveals to us the world around us. The challenges and Growth I have learned from photography are something I never experienced before. It felt like it was a part of me, and in a way where the photos mark one journey of my life that I have experienced. After somewhat mastering manual mode, I understand the concepts of photography, such as the aperture and shutter speeds needed for different environments at different parts of the day. Overcoming these changes was hard because I never truly understood how important aperture and shutter speed were when I first began my project. However, each obstacle I overcame improved my knowledge of photography and the photos I took. It helped me develop a deeper understanding of photography that I never knew. It is one of the most rewarding feelings because it gives a sense of accomplishment, and I never knew I would get this far with photography in my life until this year.
